Job: SharePoint Site Collection Administrator

Description

We are seeking to fill positions that require a mix of skills to administer SharePoint Site Collections and provide develop support. We are seeking highly skilled, self-motivated, and self-directed individuals that are results oriented, critical thinkers, and possess diligent attention detail.

Desired Skills

  • Must possess knowledge of all features, functionalities, capabilities, and services made available by SharePoint to Site Collection Administrators.
  • Must have experience and understanding of SharePoint services with jQuery, REST, CAML, JSON, or similar technologies.
  • Must understand how to integrate SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite for the purposes of exchanging and presenting data across the full spectrum of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to create reports, dashboards, and scorecards using SharePoint integrated with reporting applications such as Power BI, Excel, PowerPivot, PowerView, Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or similar technologies.
  • Must possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze and solve problems with limited information, oversight, or direction from leadership.
  • Must be comfortable working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to present data, ideas, solutions, and reports in non-technical business friendly language.

  • Must be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure tight-deadline environment.
  • Must be strong in using the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

SharePoint Administrators will be primarily responsible for the overall maintenance, and support of SharePoint Site Collections and their user base. Some development support will be required. Key activities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing standard SharePoint Site Collection Administrator duties such as creating and managing sites, libraries, lists, workflows; features, functions, permission groups, user security settings, content types, columns, and content management.
  • Designing and regularly producing detailed analytics and metrics reporting.
  • Regularly reviewing, configuring, and cleaning-up permission groups, sites, and content.
  • Managing and maintaining permission groups, security settings, and site access.
  • Ensuring site users adhere to established policies. Enforce policies and standards, governance rules, and best practices.
  • Training users and acting as first-line support for SharePoint stakeholders.
  • Strengthening SharePoint adoption by promoting SharePoint capabilities to organization stakeholders. Producing marketing and awareness campaigns; developing communication and presentation materials; and conducting demos and trainings.
  • Working independently with end-users to encourage SharePoint adoption and expanding their understanding and usage of SharePoint.
  • Participating in meetings, recording meeting notes, and updating and informing stakeholders.
  • Troubleshooting and working incidents tickets and support requests to closure.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of similar experience.
  • Minimum Bachelor degree required, Master’s degree preferred, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and technologies.
